Could it be possible you’re pregnant? If you’ve recently had unprotected (or maybe even protected) sex and your period is late, you might be pregnant.
An unplanned pregnancy can be scary, but you have options. First, find out if you really are pregnant before you worry one more day. At The Open Door, we offer free and confidential pregnancy testing.
If being pregnant right now is not what you planned, we understand how you’re feeling. Contact us for an appointment and let’s talk about what you’re going through.
Early Pregnancy Symptoms
A missed period is usually the first sign of pregnancy, but it isn’t the only one. See if you’re experiencing any of these other early pregnancy symptoms.
- Tender, swollen breasts
- Nausea with or without vomiting
- Increased urination
- Fatigue
- Moodiness
- Unusual food cravings
- And of course, a missed period
Every pregnancy, just like every woman, is different. Some women experience every one of the above symptoms, and others don’t experience any.

It’s Possible You Aren’t Pregnant
There are other reasons you may be feeling some of these symptoms. Having trouble with your hormones, a lot of stress, and rapid weight gain or loss are all reasons to miss a period or make you feel extra tired.
It’s even possible you’ve already had a miscarriage. A lot of times, a miscarriage can happen even before a woman knows she’s pregnant, but her body can still feel like it’s pregnant. You could get a positive result on a pregnancy test and not actually be pregnant.
The Open Door offers free limited ultrasounds, which tell you if you’ve already had a miscarriage.
We’re A No-Judgment Zone

We know sometimes you just need a safe place where you can talk to someone who understands. We get it. There’s a lot of people you don’t want to tell. So, come tell us.
