It is recommended to test for pregnancy after your missed period. Waiting at least a day or two after a missed period will provide a more accurate result and help you determine your next steps.
A positive test alone does not confirm your pregnancy. Only an ultrasound can determine whether your pregnancy is progressing and has a heartbeat, where it is located, and how far along you are.
All services at The Open Door are free, so you will never pay for an appointment. We want you to receive the care you need without financial worry.
You should bring a photo ID (i.e., driver’s license, student ID) to your appointment for identification purposes.
Yes, your partner is welcome to attend the appointment with you. We want you to feel comfortable while at The Open Door!
Yes, we offer various men’s programs and services tailored to your needs, including mentoring, classes, and a fatherhood program.
Yes. We provide free pregnancy and life skills classes, material assistance (i.e., baby clothing and supplies), and referrals to assistance programs like WIC. We are here for you!
The Open Door does not provide or refer for abortions. However, we offer comprehensive education on all your options to help you make an informed decision.
